Some of my favorite things to do at Disney is try new restaurants as well as eat at my old favorites! This up coming trip I'm excited try Beaches and Cream. We will be staying at Beach Club Resort so it will be very convenient to eat there then relax by the pool! Not sure if we will attempt the Kitchen Sink or not!
Each on guest staying at a Disney resort will get a free Magic Band. You will get to customize the color of your band before your arrival in your My Disney Experience account. Your information that is on your My Disney Experience will be linked to your band. The band is your room key and your ticket. To enter your room you will tap the Mickey icon on the band to the Mickey icon on your door. To enter the parks your will tap the Mickey icon to the turnstile. All your fast passes are linked to the band and will be used to access the pass at the attraction. You can also link a credit card to your band and use it to pay for all purchases including souvenirs, snacks, and meals by entering a pin code that you set up. If you purchased the Memory Maker photo package the photographers will scan your bands. The magic bands are waterproof and can be worn in the pool. You can customize your band even more with accessories you can buy online and at the resort. Want to know more about planning and receiving a Magic Band? From original movie sketches to sculptures and my kids loved all the interactive paintings around the ship! We were in an inside stateroom with a magic porthole. The room was probably better for 2 people but it served us well. We loved seeing which characters would pop up on the screen. Our stateroom host, George, did a great job of keeping our room clean and getting our room ready for night time. We all enjoyed the rotational dining and all the choices on the menus. The kids mainly chose off the kids menu but my daughter did enjoy some of the adult appetizers. I think my favorite restaurant was Animator's Palate. We loved all the details in the restaurant and really enjoyed the interactions with the characters from Finding Nemo. We enjoyed the evening shows with the Golden Mickey's being my favorite. The kids loved the Aquaduck and we stayed on the ship when the ship docked at Nassau. We noticed quite a difference in the amount of people who left the ship and enjoyed shorter waits on the Aquaduck. I did take some adult time and visited the Rain Forest Spa and the kids really enjoyed all the activities in the kid's clubs. My son did Sloppy Science 3 times! We also enjoyed some mini golf on Goofy's Sports deck a couple times. We had 2 lovely days at Castaway Cay where we did the Stingray Adventure, Pelican Plunge, Crab races, and just enjoyed the beach. Lunch was served both days at Cookie's and Cookies Too. Both days we were back on the ship by 2 for some more Aquaduck time. Pirate night was lots of fun! We enjoyed dressing up and watching Peter Pan on the pool deck followed by the Pirate show and fireworks at sea! Wished the fireworks had been a little earlier. The kids were so tired but hung in there. One of our highlights was free soft serve on deck 11. And not just chocolate and vanilla, but banana, mango, and blueberry! We participated in a Fish Extender group and the kids loved going back to the room to see if they had goodies in their pockets. They also enjoyed deliver our gifts around the ship. Another adult activity I got to enjoy was Palo brunch. Delicious and relaxing and will defiantly repeat on my next cruise. All in all it was a great time and I look forward to a longer cruise that my husband can attend. Questions about my trip? Please post in the comments below. Thanks!
![]() Disney. Summer. Florida. Heat. Yup all those things go together. But you can survive Disney in the summer. If you are a teacher like me or don't want to pull your kids out of school summer may be your only option for a Disney trip. So how will you do it?
We had an amazing time at Beach Club. Great location to walk to Epcot or the Boardwalk area and love the boat to Hollywood Studios. No problems with the bus to Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom. We did take a cab to get to our early breakfast at Cinderella's Royal Table. The pool is amazing. It has a lazy river, awesome pirate ship water slide that I did ride, beach area with really sand, several hot tubs and more! Hurricane Hannas is the best pool bar with my favorite Grapefruit beer. We enjoyed the quick service restaurant, Beaches and Cream for dinner and Cape May Cafe' for breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful. It is a busy resort. I walked over to the Yacht club side to take pictures and it seemed a little quieter. I would stay there again in a heart beat. Here are some pictures of the resort.Another thing I love about going to Disney is trying out new resorts. I am looking forward to our upcoming stay at Beach Club. Last trip was Animal Kingdom Lodge. It was amazing! I regret not taking enough pictures of the resort. The pool and splash area was so cool. We just wished the weather was a little warm here are some pictures from that area. |
