5 Reasons You Should Use a Travel Agent
I don’t know about you, but when I call a company I want to speak with a real human being. I don’t want to press a series of numbers, navigate a confusing website, or though several Google searches to find what I need. This is all relevant when it comes to booking a vacation. Especially during these times where travel has changed so much since Covid and all destinations have updated their protocols to keep their staff and guests safe. Now more than ever is the time to use a travel agent. One point of contact When you work with a travel agent that person will be the only one you communicate with. You will more than likely always have several ways to reach that person like a phone number and an email. An agent will be able to service all aspects of your trip. No need to contact several vendors as your agent will be able to do all that for you. Personalized Service Working with an agent means someone else is excited about your trip! No two families are alike and no two vacations are alike. Instead of a cookie cutter approach, your agent will gather all information about your party needed to make your trip a success. Some of these may include any celebrations, food allergies, mobility issues, and special requests. Your agent will make sure these are noted on your reservation to make sure you are accommodated on your trip. You and your agent will get to know each other throughout the process and you may even end up with a new friend! Saves you time and Money Don’t have time to filter through hundreds of hotels or cruise options? That is what a travel agent will do for you! Looking for a vacation within a certain budget? Tell your agent what you would feel comfortable paying and let them provide you with some options. Your agent will also be on top of any of the latest changes and policies for your destination and make sure to relay them to you. Expertise Most vendors make it a requirement that an agent stay up to date on their trainings to book clients with them, so agents are informed about different companies and destinations.. Also most agents visit the destinations they book as much as possible, so they can give you their first hand experiences to help in planning your trip. Will advocate for you if there is a problem Perhaps you experience an issue or problem during or after your trip. Your agent will go to bat for you to have the issue resolved or see that you are compensated for your problem. No need to wait in line or on hold yourself, your agent will be there for you to get things resolved as best as they can. I look forward to being your travel agent and helping with all the above!
